What is CranioSacral Therapy?

A Quiet Approach to Healing

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the craniosacral system — the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. By connecting with the subtle rhythms of the nervous system and through light touch and careful listening, sessions are designed to support your body’s natural ability to regulate, release, and restore balance.

Whether you’re experiencing stress, chronic tension, headaches, or simply feeling overwhelmed, this work offers a space where your system can slow down and recalibrate.

Using light touch, we evaluate and enhance the functioning of this system, helping the body release restrictions and restore balance.

The body operates through subtle rhythms. When tension, stress, or injury disrupts those rhythms, discomfort and imbalance can follow.

CST works by:

  • Detecting restrictions in tissues

  • Releasing tension patterns

  • Supporting nervous system regulation

  • Encouraging the body’s natural healing response

The techniques are light — often no more pressure than the weight of a nickel — yet profoundly effective.

BENEFITS OF CST

Clients often report:

  • Reduced pain and muscle tension

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Decreased stress and anxiety

  • Enhanced clarity and focus

  • Emotional release

  • Greater overall sense of calm

CST supports the whole person — physical, mental, and emotional.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your session begins with a brief conversation about your goals and concerns.

You will remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table. Gentle techniques are applied, often to the head, spine, and sacrum.

Most clients experience deep relaxation. Some notice subtle shifts during the session; others feel the benefits unfold over the following days.
